I am pleased to announce the totals for this years Living Gift Market. Again this year, our church family and community has out done themselves to support Heifer International. So many wonderful people have stepped up this year to serve at our event that I cannot begin to name them all.
We were able to see the servant hearts in our second grade Sunday School class. These 32 students were able to exceed their goal to help 32 Tanzanian students have milk in school for an entire year.
Mary Smith, Pam Boyer, Kim Mease and Kelly Bucy competed in milking a goat. Mary came through with the most milk and was crowned the Champion Goat Milker.
As of Dec. 8, the totals are as follows:
- Kitchen / baked goods = $760.55
- Crafts = $567.74
- Milk a Goat = $1,433.23
- Heifer Tables = $9,757.30
- 2nd Grade Milk Money = $3,177.31
- TOTAL = $15,636.13
I am so grateful to be part of this awesome congregation that truly shows a Servant Heart each and every day.

Milk Money Campaign
To the children…
A BIG thank you to all of the children who donated to the campaign, helped decorate cookies, and then helped sell those cookies and milkshakes during the Living Gift Market! You all embodied what it means to serve others in the name of Christ. COGS is blessed to have you in our church family.
We started out with a lofty goal of $2,304, wanting to help 32 Tanzanian students. All of your hard work paid off and we far surpassed our goal – raising $3,117.31!! More than 43 Tanzanian students will be benefiting from your hard work and determination.
To our church family…
Another BIG thank you goes out to all the parents and our extended church family! You lead by example, showing our students what it means to give with an open heart and proving that as a family, we can accomplish anything! Your generosity has shown our students what Christ-centered service can look like and achieve.
I can’t say it enough… THANK YOU!
