We want to invite all of our COGS families to put together care packages for Nate Smith, who is currently deployed in the Middle East. There is no need to fear all of us sending too much, as there are means for Nate to share with others he serves with, but your family’s service will mean so much in this season of separation for Nate and his family! Starting this Sunday, we will have spaces for your family to drop off your supplies so we can send them out through the proper means!
Some Ideas of What to Include: Please consider making this a FAMILY service project! It would be so easy for you (as grocery-shopping parents) to just add these supplies to your shopping list and pick them up while you’re already at the store. It would be so much more meaningful and impactful for your kids if the whole family went out shopping just for Nate–if your kids get to share THEIR favorite snacks, THEIR choice of book, and THEIR note of encouragement with Nate. The Smith Family will be so incredibly thankful for the support for Nate, and the way your family chooses to serve could also make a huge impact on your kids! (see my video in COGS Kids as to why these projects have so much meaning to me and how I was impacted as a kid!) |
